Our members are the heart and soul of the organization—nothing would be possible without them! We would love for you to join us as a member, a committee chair, a committee member, or an event volunteer. We are always looking for new faces to share their ideas and energy.
Membership in the Berkeley HSA helps strengthen our school community and ensures that we can continue to provide programs, events, and opportunities for our students.

CLASS PARENT
A Class Parent is an important part of the communication channel between teachers and parents. They assist with class parties, activities, field trips and additional schoolwide events.
Being a Class Parent is rewarding because it allows you to contribute to your child’s classroom & Berkeley experience and creates a network, by connecting you with other parents whose students attend the school. Learn more here.

Oversee and coordinate all major fundraising efforts. Oversee all subcommittees, and report on all fundraising efforts at general membership meetings throughout the year.

ABC (Action for a Better Community)
Leads the Action for a Better Community (Acción Para el Bienestar Común) program at Berkeley Elementary, which serves as a bridge between Spanish-speaking families and the school. The Chair helps organize family gatherings, cultural events, and volunteer support to ensure all parents can fully participate in school life. Through ABC, families feel welcomed, informed, and empowered to engage in their children’s education.
